Vinyl Graphics
Sign making technology changed rapidly with the invention of the personal computer. Window and sign lettering and vehicle graphics were all done by hand painting prior the the introduction of vinyl cutters in the early 1980's.
Now a sign design can be produced on a PC with readily available design software and using a vinyl cutting plotter. A sign made using computer cut vinyl can be reproduced with absolute precision time after time. Vinyl is more color consistant, more durable and is better able to maintain fine detail than painting and hand lettering. In some cases hand painting and vinyl are used together to create graphics that are otherwise too labor intensive and costly to produce.
There will always be a place in the sign industy for the true artist where the use of artistic talent and high technology meet to create beautiful signs and lettering.
At adventure signs we use state-of-the-art Roland Digital plotters and cutters. Please visit their web site for complete details of their equipment at www.rolanddg.com
